    Ewing sarcoma: overview

    Ewing’s sarcoma is a malignant tumor that affects bone tissue. The tumor is distinguished by its aggressive development, invasion into internal structures and metastasis to internal organs. Often, the doctor can detect abnormalities in the tubular bones. Without assistance, a person’s well-being quickly deteriorates and unwanted complications develop. Most often, pathology is detected in men. The main cause of the disease is damage, injury, fracture, hereditary anomalies in the development of bone tissue.

    Symptoms of the disease

    If you notice any of the following symptoms, you should see your doctor right away:

    • Bone pain;
    • The presence of a seal during palpation;
    • Swelling of the limb;
    • Stiffness of movements;
    • General malaise;
    • Increased body temperature;
    • Frequent bone fractures.

    These signs are not typical for the disease. Only an experienced doctor can make the right diagnosis and choose the right treatment.

    Diagnosis and treatment of the disease

    Unfortunately, at the initial stage, it is rather difficult to identify the disease. To make the correct diagnosis, the doctor conducts the following studies:

    • Examination;
    • Blood test;
    • X-ray;
    • MRI or CT;
    • PET;
    • Scintigraphy;
    • Biopsy.

    Based on the data obtained, the doctor draws up an individual therapy plan, taking into account the characteristics of the development of the disease and the general condition of the patient.     • Radiation exposure;
    • Targeted therapy.

    The last method is revolutionary and helps to get rid of the tumor without surgery. The specialist selects an individual drug that affects a specific education. This treatment is expensive and not always used. In most cases, surgery is used, followed by a course of chemotherapy.
