    Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS)

    Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is a group of diseases characterized by the presence of cytopenia, dysplasia and the development of myeloid leukaemia. A person can be unaware of the presence of a whole group of diseases for a long time. Over time, the patient begins to feel increased weakness, increased frequency of infectious diseases and bleeding. The doctor who discovered the pathology proceeds with immediate treatment to avoid the occurrence of unwanted complications.

    Symptoms of the disease

    Patients in whom this diagnosis was made noted the presence of the following symptoms:

    • The pallor of the skin;
    • Bleeding;
    • Neurological disorders;
    • Increased fatigue;
    • Increased body temperature;
    • The occurrence of bruising;
    • Frequent infections.

    A qualified doctor will carry out the necessary diagnostics and, based on the data obtained, select the necessary treatment.

    Diagnosis of pathology

    To make the correct diagnosis, the doctor uses the following research methods:

    • Examination;
    • Blood test;
    • Ultrasound;
    • MRI;
    • Puncture of the bone marrow.

    Based on the results obtained, an individual treatment regimen is selected, taking into account the type and nature of the disease, as well as the presence of concomitant pathologies.
