Types of thyroid oncology

• Anaplastic form. It is rare, characterized by aggressiveness, rapid progression. Affects elderly patients over sixty;
• Medullary form. The tumor based on thyroid C cells, which are responsible for the production of calcitonin. A common cause is a genetic factor; 
• Follicular form. The structure of the formation of the follicular cellular structure of the organ. Affects older people over fifty; 
• Papillary form. Refers to common cancers – diagnosed in eighty percent of cases. It affects patients regardless of age category;
• Lymphomas. They classified as a rare form of cancer of the thyroid gland. At the heart of the formation are immune cells. More common in older adults.
