My name is Dr. David Sarid. I’ve been an oncologist for more than 30 years. Over this time, I’ve treated a wide range of cancers and met patients from all over the world. Every person who sits in front of me has their own story, and I make sure the treatment plan fits not just the disease, but the person.

My Training

I studied medicine at Tbilisi University in Georgia. Later, I moved to Israel, where I trained in internal medicine and then specialized in oncology. In 2003, I spent time at Oxford University focusing on prostate and bladder cancers. That experience really shaped the way I approach urologic tumors today.

My Work Experience

I started as an internal medicine doctor back in Georgia. When I came to Israel, I worked my way through oncology residency in Tel Aviv and later became head of an oncology inpatient ward. After a few years at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, I returned to Tel Aviv Medical Center, where I’ve been ever since, leading the program for urologic cancers.

Now, alongside my hospital work, I also see private patients at TAMC. This allows me to dedicate more time to each person, answer every question, and build a plan together without the pressure of busy hospital schedules.

Teaching and Research

I enjoy teaching just as much as treating. For years, I’ve been lecturing at Tel Aviv University and mentoring new doctors, including those who immigrated and had to adapt to a new system. I’ve also published over 30 papers and presented at more than 40 international conferences – but my research always ties back to improving care for my patients.

Most of my patients come to me with:

In recent years, I’ve focused a lot on modern treatments – immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and precision radiation. These approaches let us treat cancer more effectively while keeping side effects lower.
