Glioblastoma

Glioblastoma refers to a variety of brain tumours – astrocytomas, which differ in the degree of malignancy. Glioblastoma develops most often in older men, has a high level of malignancy and poor prognosis. The neoplasm grows rapidly, penetrating the brain tissue in the absence of clear boundaries.

The following main types of tumours are distinguished: 

• giant cell glioblastoma;
