    Targeted Therapy: Medications

Targeted therapy includes a wide range of modern medications that act on specific molecular mechanisms involved in tumor growth.

Unlike traditional chemotherapy, these medications target specific genetic alterations, receptors, or signaling pathways involved in the development of the disease.

Today, targeted therapies are used for many types of cancer, including lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, stomach cancer, kidney cancer, melanoma, brain tumors, and a number of other cancers.

Below you can find information about the most commonly used targeted therapy medications in modern oncology.
